Cost of stress at work mounts for Dutch businesses
The average stress-related absenteeism rate in the Netherlands has been increasing in the last years. Indeed, according to the lates figures released by the group ArboNet, it is 8 times higher than the rate recorded in 2009.
A growing phenomenon awith an economic loss of approximately 800 million Euros for the Teutonic companies only in the first half of 2014 – excluding the treatment costs. In depth, the stress-related absenteism rate was found to be higher especially in the education and care sector. But also in the ICT and financial institutions.
