Western Nile virus detected in Croatia, patient feels well
The Western Nile virus has been detected in a patient in Zagreb. The virus that this season has killed five people in Serbia, frightens the region. In total 149 cases of “Western Nile” virus were detected in Europe this season. However, the patient in Croatian capital Zagreb feels well, news agency Hina reports.
Western Nile virus is spread by mosquitoes and was first found in Uganda in 1930s.
