NHS staff in rude health: Nurses in bother for web chat blunders

NAUGHTY nurses have got into trouble after using social media to post naked pictures and flirt with patients.- reports the DailyStar

One nurse texted a snap of a woman’s genitals to a female colleague.

Another used her work computer to send kinky messages to a heart transplant patient.

Others slagged off their jobs and posted jokes about disabled people and racist comments on Facebook.

The online behaviour was exposed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).It revealed 20 nurses had brought their profession into disrepute in the last three years using Twitter, Facebook and emails.

Lisa Marie Kane was struck off after an online racist rant.

She said there were more Muslims in Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary “than in Kabul”.

Paediatric nurse Paul Stephens, who worked at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, posted offensive comments about disabled athletes.

Referring to a sports event on TV he wrote: “Getting mightily f***** off with all these excuses from retarded people we have to call ‘athletes’ for the next 2 weeks.”

Mental health nurse Leigh Jennison was struck off after sending sexually explicit messages to a patient with Asperger syndrome while working for Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.

Nurse Kelly Ann Cameron, who worked at the Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle, was uncovered having a relationship with a heart transplant patient.Read the rest of the story about the rude nurses HERE
