Macedonia intends to invest additional EUR 1, 1 million in the health care sector

The (FYR Macedonian) Government intends to invest additional EUR 1, 1 million in the health care sector by yearend. The funds are earmarked for purchasing medical equipment for the Clinics for children diseases, gynaecology and ‘Jane Sandanski’ hospital in Skopje settlement ‘Aerodrom’, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Tuesday, after inaugurating a new school building in Skopje (FYR Macedonia).

Gruevski also announced that next year additional 5,500 retirees will enjoy a free spa holiday, while 3,000 a free weekend under the Government’s projects.

“This year additional 2,400 pensioners will have a free spa holiday. The project is resuming next year with new group of 5,500 beneficiaries. This project, which was part of our election program, has been successful and we shall keep realizing it,” Gruevski said.

This year additional 900 pensioners will be part of the free weekend project, while the plan for next year foresees additional 3,000 beneficiaries, the PM said reports the Government
