Cyprus approved a plan for the modernisation of ambulance services

The Cyprus cabinet on Wednesday approved a plan for the reorganisation and modernisation of the ambulance service that includes four new station, one each at Klirou in Nicosia, the old Limassol hospital, Peyia in Paphos and Oroklini in Larnaca.
In addition the coordinating centre for the ambulance service will be expanded and housed in a new building with new equipment, an announcement from the cabinet said. Manpower would also be strengthened at Polis Chrysochous and 24 more paramedics plus more nurses would be hired to help meet new and existing needs islandwide, the cabinet said.
