Portugal experiences mini baby boom
Portugal has experienced something of a baby boom, having registered an increase of 1,000 births during the first six months of this year.
According to the figures, between January and June this year 40,113 babies were born in Portugal, in comparison to the 39,063 born during the same period of last year. A rise in the number of births in Vila Real, Braga and Portalegre is said to have significantly contributed towards the baby boom.
