Bulgarian Ministry of Health reports low birth rate in 2014, as seen in the information system on births with the ministry.Last year biggest number of babies was born in the capital city Sofia – 15,470, followed by the second biggest city of Plovdiv – 7,051.Next in the chart comes the coastal city of Varna with 4,742, followed by Burgas – 3,494.In the bottom of the chart with the smallest number of babies is the town of Razgrad – 500. Next come Vidin – 520, Smolyan – 597. Since January 1, 2014 until January 1, 2015 the system reports nearly 63,000 babies.
Meanwhile, the first babies for 2015 are already a fact. Here are some of the officially reported:First baby born in Bulgaria’s second biggest city of Plovdiv on the first day of 2015 is a boy, the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment-Plovdiv announced. The baby was born at 1:10 p.m.
