Jenson James was born 12 months ago with serious respiratory problems but has made a great recovery. in 2014 january the Eight-day-old Jenson James, born to Becks’ sister Lynne, has been in intensive care since birth as the family face an anxious wait at his bedside.
David Beckham’s nephew has celebrated his first birthday after battling a life-threatening illness. The ex-England captain was among relatives who dashed to the bedside when Jenson James was born 12 months ago with serious respiratory problems.
But Jenson has made a brilliant recovery. Joanne, Becks’s sister, posted an online picture of the healthy one year old in a Spurs bib. She wrote: “Me and the birthday boy (excuse the bib !!!)”. Jenson was born with a vocal cord disorder and was fitted with a tracheotomy – a tube inserted into the windpipe – to help his breathing. Dad Kevin Briggs said: “David’s been in constant contact.”
