We can see how expenses are paid in various countries.

France – Its system is largely paid for by government national health insurance – payments are compulsory and deducted from employees’ pay.

US – Patients have to fund their own healthcare – so many have their own health insurance. Medicaid and Medicare are available for those who are poor, disabled or elderly. However around a sixth are uninsured.

Spain – employees and employers pay into a state fund. The unemployed and the elderly are among those who can register to receive free healthcare.

Sweden – healthcare is predominantly paid for by the state via taxes imposed locally

Hungary: Same as in France with smaller “detours”  Its system is largely paid for by government national health insurance – payments are compulsory and deducted from employees’ pay.

But the serious issue is: the specially developed EU website of the European Commission ( regarding EU public health) has dead links. For example just to check quikcly in connection with  Hungary. Non of the links are updated and guides the visitors to native hungarian sites.  So no adequate info can be obtained by other nationals.  That is all about the EU.
